On the 1st of October, Adelaide had a showing of ten works on behalf of the charity the National Centre for Domestic Violence. Held in London's Soho, the evening showing marked the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month to highlight the work of the charity.
Set up in 2006 by Steve Connor, the charity concentrates on offering legal aid and injunctions against the perpetrators of domestic violence on behalf of the victims, irrespective of their financial position.

Supermodels is an exhibition consisting of a series of eighteen striking paintings featuring powerful images which distort some well known international supermodels and celebrity icons. The latest works by Adelaide Damoah represent an intense period of her career when she was personally impacted by the death of Brazilian supermodel Anna Carolina Reston in 2006.

The Artist Adelaide Damoah who is best known for her 2006 Exhibition; "Black Brits" will unveil her latest collection entitled "Black Lipstick" in August 2008. Deemed "too sexually explicit" to be shown at the Bernie Grant Centre for more than one night, the collection consists of a series of oil paintings of herself in various poses exploring the "dominant sexual side of herself" one of which shows the Essex resident with a whip in her mouth...
The artist Adelaide Damoah will be exhibiting a selection of her striking pieces at an event in North London called U-NITE. The event which takes place at the famous Bernie Grant Art Centre, focuses on the theme of Unity and it will feature, dance, music, fashion and drama in a mixed variety showcase.
